Students, since 2018.

We help the next generation through education, community support, and real action, planned and carried out by students.

About a hundred Kenyan schoolchildren in blue uniforms sit with LeadUp volunteers under a tree.
With students at a partner school in Kenya.

First, a class on Zoom.

We started in 2018 by teaching English over Zoom to refugee kids in Greece. Today we have chapters in Maryland, Virginia, and New Jersey.

The idea has not changed: students pick the need, raise the money themselves, and go do the work. Mentors help along the way.

Every dollar goes to a named project, and we publish what each one got. We show up in person when we can. When we can’t travel, we teach over Zoom or work close to home.

One step at a time.

Each step was planned by the students who were here at the time.
